The CDL Driver will be responsible for driving our CDL class vehicles in the Northeast Region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes driving safety seriously and wants to be an integral part of expanding our brand’s outreach and providing a unique experience for guests. The CDL Driver will be responsible for driving our CDL class vehicles in the Northeast Region as well as warehouse work related to building and loading pallets of product onto the truck. This person will be an exceptional member of the team and help carry out our overall mission to make the best beverages in the world and to serve them in the most friendly and memorable environment possible.
This is a full-time position based in Charlton, MA and will include travel within the local region using our fleet.
SCHEDULE: Monday, Thursday-Saturday 5am-3pm, with the potential for occasional Sundays with notice.
This is a hands-on job that entails repetitive work, long hours both sitting and standing and one that requires some flexibility, and high expectations.
As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for the following:
- Knowing assigned routes and alternatives
- Operating our vehicles safely and adhering to the rules of the road.
- Completes daily trip logs, vehicle accident reports and incident reports when appropriate.
- Building and securing pallets of product based on the shipping manifest, using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and electric pallet jacks
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
- Inspect vehicles to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the vehicles and associated equipment
- Other tasks as assigned by management, including but not limited to operating other vehicles and equipment for Tree House as necessary
Position Requirements:
- 6+ months of professional experience operating CDL class vehicles
- CDL Class A License Required
- Forklift Experience
- Ability to sit for several hours at a time, push, pull, bend, and lift up to 55lbs consistently, as necessary to perform required tasks as assigned throughout the workday
- Able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- You are driven, self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with a focused and hardworking attitude
- A quick learner who is able to work with minimal or no supervision
- An innate helpful nature and a desire to be a strong, reliable team player with a willingness to go the extra mile
- Ability to multitask and work coolly and professionally in time sensitive situations
- Must have good communication skills with the ability to both receive and delegate tasks
- Must be able to tactfully communicate with team members
- Must be able to meet deadlines or communicate when deadlines cannot be met
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and/or pivot plans quickly in order to coordinate corrective actions needed
- Meticulous attention to detail and safety
- Must be punctual and responsible with one’s time
- You are not afraid to speak your mind
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
